Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Which states do you serve?

We are currently offering speech-language services to people living in Maine. Our Maine practice is currently accepting new clients; contact us for more information and a free consultation.

What makes your practice different than other SLP practices?

Katherine and Caitlin have both been practicing SLPs since 2011, and are both Certified Brain Injury Specialists through the Brain Injury Association of America. With our experience working in outpatient speech therapy clinics, we realized there was a need for ongoing, person-centered SLP services that went beyond the traditional medical model. While some other clinics offer services to all ages and disorders, we focus on cognitive-communication disorders of adulthood, including neurogenic disorders. By offering our services via telepractice, we are able to provide 1-on-1 speech therapy to people no matter where they live and what transportation is available.

What technology do I need to access SLP teletherapy?

All you need is a computer or tablet with a camera and internet access.

Do you accept insurance?

For Maine residents, we accept Medicare Part B and MaineCare. We are out-of-network with private insurance companies, but can provid you with a Superbill that you can submit to your out-of-network insurance company for reimbursement (many insurers will reimburse out-of-network services, but we recommend you verify with your insurance prior to starting therapy). Please contact us for further information about what an investment in our services might look like. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges to prevent surprise billing. We accept all major credit/debit cards as well as FSA/HSA cards.
